Meet my wife, Traci, and our three amazing kiddos.
This is my 15th year as a public Mathematics educator.
At Hubbard Elementary, I coach our students more than just practicing problem solving steps, but to understand the "WHY-it-works" behind those steps. Most importantly, I encourage them to believe in themselves, to patiently pursue rewarding results through effort and productive struggle; and, ultimately, to master the Mathematical skills that will serve them lifelong.
When I was nine years old, I dreamed of being a pilot. (See where this is going?) My Math SAT score got me into the Air Force Academy, which is what ultimately got me into the cockpits and flight decks of military and commercial aircraft. The math that I internalized as a kiddo, got my childhood dream off the ground.
My heartfelt driving force is to inspire kiddos to know their own dream, and then pursue it.
